Alaz Munzur

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy,  University of Saskatchewan. Prior to my current position, I was an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Policy, Simon Fraser University and a Research Associate with the Energy and Environmental Policy research division at the School of Public Policy, University of Calgary.  I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Calgary (2019)

My research focuses on the areas of climate policy design, international cooperation on environmental issues, and international trade.

I am a learner. I spend most of my time learning about new things. I enjoy studying history, ecology, technological change and political geography and combining insights from these fields in my research. My current work is a product of my transdisciplinary interests.

In my free time, I am either coding, reading, biking, camping or trying a new brewery.
